LUX – Humble Beginnings

Hi there!

I’m McCallum Armstrong, Game and Company Director of LUX Story Forge. Thought I’d kick this thing off with a bit of our plan, and some company lore if you stick with it.

Our goals for the company are simple: a return to passionate, well made games, at a price point that is accessible to just about anyone. No surprise mechanics, no day one DLC, or the ilk. Our games will focus on freedom, fun, and a bespoke air likening back to the early days of console development, when you could tell a game was made with passion and commitment.

Our journey is starting with Peagrove Noir: a detective RPG meets chill life-sim, allowing players to immerse themselves in a colourful and quirky town as the newest detective on the force. You’ll discover secrets, a mysterious conspiracy, and make friends and enemies along the way. With Peagrove Noir, we’re striving to make an accessible and fun game that blends old-school pulp detective story telling with modern gaming tech, and a plethora of engaging game loops that will keep you enthralled beyond merely solving the next cold case.

This is just a taste of what’s to come, and I can’t wait to share this exciting journey with you all.
